Cerec 3D is a revolutionary computer system of designing and manufacturing the most aesthetic ceramic dental crowns and bridges, and what is very important – there is no need of taking impressions, unpleasant for patients, and we have the opportunity of shortening the whole treatment time only to 1 visit.

A traditional way of manufacturing dentures after special teeth preparation forced doctors to take very unpleasant for patients impressions which were sent to the prosthetic workshop afterwards.

The Cerec 3D system give the opportunity to scan prepared teeth with the Cerec Bluecam which gives the full image of teeth on the computer screen.Scanned dentition of a patient is a virtual model on which we can base the design of ceramic dental crowns, bridges, inlay, onlay, connectors and dental implants.

When you want to manufacture dentures mentioned above, it takes few days. But CEREC 3D gives the possibility of shortening this process to few minutes. As an example we can show the dental crown manufacturing – in a prosthetic workshop it lasts about 5 days, and nowadays in our clinic we do it in 30-50 minutes only depending on the type of material used.

Additional advantage of computer prosthetics is the possibility to see designed dental crowns on a computer screen and comply patient’s suggestion about his new teeth shape and appearance at this treatment stage.

If we already have the virtual dental crown or other denture accepted by a patient, we have to choose a type and colour of material. The numerical milling machine Cerec MCXL cuts our work out of it. Average time of this process is about 15 minutes.

The accuracy of computer manufactured crowns is 0.2 µm (dental cement grain diameter) and it cannot be obtain in traditional way. After cutting out, the crown is finally determined with colour and shape, than we can cement it in patient’s mouth. The average time needed for manufacturing a crown is 1.5-2 hours insteadof 5-7 days. Nowadays, the newest software of Cerec 4.0 system gives opportunity to manufacture more complicated dentures within 1 visit.
